Dramatic Update to a 1990’s 1-½ storey home in Qualicum Beach

Set in a beautiful location in Qualicum Beach, this 1990’s home was completely renovated–modernizing the space both in function and aesthetics. Typical of the time closed in rooms were opened up, adding brightness and better flow throughout for this couple going into retirement. Where there had been an enclosed, darkened dining room became a secret walk-in pantry built right into the beautiful floor to ceiling kitchen cabinetry. The existing primary ensuite and WIC had been very small, but with some clever reorientation, the primary ensuite doubled in size, allowing a curbless shower and double vanity, as well as an all-new, larger WIC, without losing an inch of the primary bedroom floor space. Throughout the home, long-desired items of the clients were incorporated, such as beautiful hickory hardwood floors, an ocean waves inspired tiled fireplace wall, a farmhouse inspired front entry door with water glass, and much more.
