Ron Dolan is the owner of R. Dolan Construction Ltd which he founded back in the late 1980’s.

Having grown up in Nanaimo and raised his family in Lantzville, Ron has been building custom and log homes, including renovating existing homes, in the Central Vancouver Island region, from as far north as Black Creek and south to Crofton and Cowichan Lake.

Ron brings his passion for building beautiful homes, with exacting details and esthetics, and combines that with his ability to personalize the building experience with his customers to create a unique blend of builder/customer partnership with a goal to fulfilling the client’s vision within a budget that is realistic.

Because of Ron’s reputation, successful home building experience, along with exceptional relationship skills, he has been a highly sought-after builder for the past 30 plus years.

Ron has a pulled together a team of dedicated project managers, Red Seal apprentices, a design consultant, along with financial expertise staff to provide a comprehensive service experience for his customers. What truly sets Ron’s team apart is their commitment to personalized service, outstanding work ethic, dedication to excellence, craftmanship, organization, and transparency.

Ron currently lives in Lantzville and enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and two wonderful sons along with socializing with the many friends he has gathered along the way. His legacy is being realized as both of his sons work for the company and are actively involved in carrying the family values and work ethic into expanding the company to a larger market.

Construction Manager

Bruce thought he was going to retire on Vancouver Island and enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery that the island is famous for, but with some encouraging, he was brought out of retirement to help R. Dolan Construction grow and expand our company. Bruce is our Construction Manager/Estimator and he brings 40+ years of experience in all aspects of residential new home building and renovations, including carpentry, safety, service, special projects, team leadership and real estate. He was also a co-owner of a new-home building company for 20+ years that managed multi-million dollar housing development projects. Bruces skills in estimating, planning, managing, and his ability to coordinate subcontractors, architects, engineers, and vendors on any sized job help our projects be completed on time and on budget.

Construction Coordinator

Passionate about the profound significance of homes in our lives, Ryan Dolan has dedicated his career to creating spaces that transcend mere structures and become reflections of the individuals who inhabit them. With a diverse educational background spanning film production, psychology, and social work, Ryan brings a unique perspective to the field of home design and construction.

Transitioning seamlessly from first-person reflection to third-person narrative, Ryan articulates the value of his interdisciplinary experiences in fostering adaptability and enriching client relationships. Drawing from his time in various professional realms, he emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach to construction—one that not only prioritizes craftsmanship but also cultivates genuine connections with clients.

Operations Manager

Doug Dolan, Operations Manager at R Dolan Construction, developed a passion for building from childhood alongside his father. With hands-on experience and guidance from his mentors, he advanced from a laborer to Operations Manager, emphasizing transparent communication within his team. Doug enjoys great food, films, and boxing, but finds true fulfillment in turning client visions into reality. He attributes his success to collaboration, innovation, and client satisfaction, driving excellence in the construction industry.
